Koshi Chimes
Two Collections, Eight Worlds of Sound – Tuned by hand. Played by the wind.
Koshi chimes combine precisely tuned steel rods with carefully crafted resonators. Each instrument has its own musical tuning. Wind and movement determine the order in which the notes sound, creating an ever-changing musical sequence.
At Sensatonics, you can explore two Koshi collections with distinct materials and sound characters.
4 Elements Collection – Terra, Aqua, Aria & Ignis
Four tunings inspired by earth, water, air and fire. Eight sound rods, a treated bamboo resonator and an adjusted 432 Hz tuning create a warm, clear sound. The four instruments are harmonically matched and can be played together.
Earth Symphony Collection – Mountain, Forest, River & Ocean
Four sound worlds inspired by landscapes. Twelve sound rods, solid European wood resonators and a 440 Hz tuning create broader, longer-lasting resonance. These four instruments can also be played together within their collection.
The two collections use different tuning systems and are not intended to be played together as a single ensemble.
