Since 1705, Shoyeido has preserved the art of Japanese incense in Kyoto. For more than three centuries, the family-owned company has created fragrances based on natural ingredients, traditional craftsmanship, and a deep respect for Japan's rich incense culture. Carefully selected woods, resins, herbs, and spices are blended according to time-honoured recipes, resulting in beautifully balanced fragrances crafted with the quiet dedication for which Kyoto is renowned. 

Each Shoyeido collection reflects a different aspect of Japanese fragrance culture. Nature & Tradition preserves the classic incense blends of Kyoto, Overtones celebrates individual fragrance notes, Premium Incense showcases exceptional natural materials and master craftsmanship, the Jewel Series draws inspiration from the symbolism of precious gemstones, and the traditional Shokoh Incense Granules represent one of the oldest forms of Japanese incense appreciation. 

What unites every collection is Shoyeido's unwavering commitment to quality and natural ingredients. Rather than relying on synthetic perfume materials, Shoyeido creates refined fragrances from carefully selected botanicals, aromatic woods, and resins. At present, we are able to offer only a small selection from the Overtones collection.
