Amazonian Incense
This traditional blend originates from the Kaxinawá, the largest Indigenous people in the Brazilian state of Acre. They call themselves Huni Kuin, which translates roughly as "the true people." The Huni Kuin see themselves as guardians and messengers of the forest's medicine. They are renowned for their extensive knowledge of plants, their sacred songs, and their beautiful craftsmanship. The Huni Kuin create a wide variety of powder blends using numerous plants and sacred ashes.
This strong blend is traditionally associated with hunting rituals among the Huni Kuin. During ceremonies, songs are used to invoke animal and nature spirits.
