Yawanawa – Tsunu
Rapé Incense
The Yawanawá ("People of the White-Lipped Peccary") are a very small Indigenous community consisting of only a few villages. They are known for remaining faithful to their traditional way of life, even through challenging times. In recent years, their population has been growing again, and they place great importance on preserving and passing on their knowledge and traditions in their purest form. For the Yawanawá, snakes hold special significance as messengers of the ancestors.
The recipe for this Rapé comes from a woman who is actively engaged in advocating for the tribe's rights, traditions, and spiritual heritage. She is particularly dedicated to preserving women's knowledge and strengthening the role and rights of women within the community.
