Throughout the ages, absinthe has been shrouded in myths and legends like no other alcoholic beverage. Ostracized and illegal for many decades, it is now again on everyone´s lips as a en vogue drink. Among other psychoactive substances, absinthe contains primarily wormwood (artemisia absinthium). Thujone, its main active ingredient, is held responsible for the creativity-enhancing and relaxing properties much appreciated by the artists of the Bohème.
