In all shamanic cultures where juniper is found, it has been revered as a magical tree of protection and life. “Where there is a smell of juniper, the devil does not stay,” it is said in old records. Its smoke is said to have a particularly life-strengthening energy, and it also promotes mindfulness – as its name suggests, it wakes you up.
