Watana - Q'ero Ritual Cord
Cotton & glass beads
Along the edges of these ties are sewn tiny white beads. They represent stars, and are sewn in with love.
They are used to wrap the mestanas. It is customary for the shaman to tie watanas loosely around the neck, hanging down like a necklace, in ponytales, around the head.
Your purchase of these Fair Trade textiles supports the Q'ero-Village Chalma Chimpana in Peru.
