The lion´s mane mushroom (bot.: Hericium erinaceus) is also known as monkey head mushroom or coral mushroom because of its impressive appearance. Although it is rare, it is native to the entire northern hemisphere and tends to grow on beech and oak trees. In China, the lion´s mane mushroom is considered to be an excellent edible and a vital mushroom and has been cultivated there since the 1950s. The mushroom is rich in potassium and phosphorus and contains all the amino acids essential for humans as well as plenty of polysaccharides and polypeptides. The latter are said to increase immune function and inhibit the growth of malignant cells. Hericium is traditionally used to strengthen the gastrointestinal tract. It also has balancing, mood-enhancing and sleep-promoting properties.
The Hericium mushroom powder we offer comes from controlled organic cultivation and is obtained from the whole mushroom and finely ground in a particularly gentle process. The powder is gluten and lactose free and ideal for vegetarians and vegans as a nutritional supplement to keep you healthy.
Recommended dose:
Stir 1-2 level measuring spoons (enclosed) of mushroom powder daily in plenty of liquid and drink before or after a meal or mix directly into the food.
