Rich in natural Vitamin C
Acerola cherries are the fruit of a 1 to 3 meter high shrub that is native in Central and South America. The Acerola fruit is one of the plants which has the highest content of Vitamin C worldwide. As opposed to synthetic Vitamin C which is often taken as a supplement, Acerola fruit contains many other vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients. Due to the unique mix of these nutrients, the antioxidant properties of Vitamin C is increased significantly.
During periods of mental or physical exertion, the body requires elevated levels of Vitamin C. It is also needed to provide a stable immune system, as well as playing a role in the proteins that give the skin elasticity. A half teaspoon (approx. 1 g) of our Acerola powder will supply 170mg of pure, natural Vitamin C – more than twice the recommended daily intake. Our Acerola powder is therefore perfectly suited to prevent symptoms of nutritional deficiency in the body and to stay healthy and fit.
Recommended daily intake: 1g powder (approx. a half teaspoon) taken in juice, muesli, yoghurt or desserts.
