Acerola Powder

Acerola cherries are the fruit of a 1 to 3 meter high shrub that is native in Central and South America. The Acerola fruit is one of the plants which has the highest content of Vitamin C worldwide. As opposed to synthetic Vitamin C which is often taken as a supplement, Acerola fruit contains many other vitamins, minerals and phyto-nutrients. Due to the unique mix of these nutrients, the antioxidant properties of Vitamin C is increased significantly.

During periods of mental or physical exertion, the body requires elevated levels of Vitamin C. It is also needed to provide a stable immune system, as well as playing a role in the proteins that give the skin elasticity. A half teaspoon (approx. 1 g) of our Acerola powder will supply 170mg of pure, natural Vitamin C – more than twice the recommended daily intake.
