This strong, vitalizing tea is harvested from the inner bark of the tropical jatoba tree (bot .: Hymenaea courbaril).
Our Jatoba tea comes from trees grown in the wilds of the Brazilian rainforest, where the forest workers traditionally drink it to cope with their strenuous work. Only a small part of the bark is removed, thus preserving the tree.
Thanks to its high content of minerals and trace elements such as manganese, silicon and strontium as well as its refreshing taste, Jatoba is now also highly appreciated in Europe. It is caffeine-free and therefore also ideal for children. The pack contains 100% pure Jatoba bark.
Preparation: Boil 1 tablespoonful of tea for about 5 minutes in ½ liter of water and then stir and let sit for about 15 minutes. Sweeten with honey if desired or a small splash of lemon juice to help release the contained minerals.
