Rapé Shanenawa - Tsunu
The Shanenawa tribe (“people of the Blue Bird”) consists of about 3,000 members, spread over several villages in the Brazilian state of Acre and belong to the Panoan family of languages.
At present they are mainly concerned with the preservation and revival of their culture. Apart from Rapé, the Shanenawa also use Umi (Ayahuasca) and Kambo for healing purposes.
This Rapé is a very fine gray-brown powder with a wonderful aroma. The recipe usually contains tobacco, Tsunu ash (Platycyamus regnellii), Imburana seeds (Commiphora leptophloeos) and other secret ingredients.
Incense to burn on charcoal.
