Mapacho - nicotiana rustica
This tobacco is one of the most important plants in the lives of all tribes of the northwest Amazon. It plays a part in curative rituals and in important tribal ceremonies.
The mapacho bundles are organically grown (not certified !) - tobacco grows well in the forest without the use of any pestizides. It is cultivated by local people from the shipibo communities in the jungle around Iquitos
A complete bundle is approx. 15" long and 2" in diameter. Weight 600 g to 800 g. approx.
